Windows 2000 says I only have 202 Megs of RAM even though I know I istalled a 256,a 64 and another 64. I should have 384 Megs. Any idea what's wrong?

It's probably different brands and speeds of ram.
If you have the same brand and the transfer rates are the same, they would have been recongnised

How much RAM does your BIOS show during bootup? Are you using a motherboard with a built-in video card. Many built-in video cards "borrow" memory.

I have an SiS530 onboard, on bootup BIOS reports 212 meg RAM, I have an SiS530 onboard video card(and boy does it suck!) Any reccomendations for a good PCI video card which doesn't require an a Ghz processor to use? I have a 500mhz processor so I can't run any of the good stuff(like a RADEON 7000, 64 MEG onboard 233 mhz processor...yeah...) I need more video RAM because I keep getting a Memory_Mangement error which is why I brought up the RAM question in the first place. I think my Onboard video is causing a problem.

Where did you get the RAM? Did you buy it all at the same time? As mentioned above, me thinks you gots some bad or mismatched RAM! Try taking out your RAM chips and then reseat them to make sure they're secure.

So what should I do? Go out and by all the same brand of RAM? Can mismatched RAM cause a memory_mangement error?
