Hello. My quick time won't work - it gives the error message The application or DLL C:WINDOWS\system32\quicktime.qts is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.
Firstly I have no diskette - The ThinkPad is fairly new - I have tried reinstalling Quick time - Has anyone any suggestions.
Many Thanks

I've got the same problem. I'd appreciate any advice. I've tried reinstalling several times without success.

Thanks

I've had the same problem. After days of effort and reinstalling etc I tried to go back to QT 5 and then got the same message from it! I've updated my windows as suggested etc etc. I'm stumped and very frustrated.

I uninstalled quicktime.
I checked the dir windows/system32 for not deleted quicktime files.
I cleaned the registry for quicktime items

Then loaded the standalone version via
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone/

Intalled it and it worked ...

Only an unistall will do also.

It lookes like that the quicktime.qts in the web installation is corrupted. The file is 4 times smaller and misse version information.

Succes,
Erik Kort
