Hello,
I am trying to get quicktime off my system. I uninstalled it and it is gone from my start menu and it is no longer listed in my add/remove programs listing. The icon however still appears in my Systray at startup and if i explore my computer i can still find the quicktime folder in my computer under c:\programfiles\quicktime
how can i get rid of this thing? i tried to open it up so that i could shut off its autostart properties from within but it just freezes up.
i could really use some help here.
thanks,
twayne

You should be able to right-click on the icon in the system tray and disable it. Then, delete the folder.

Hey twayne here are some options. make sure you already uninstalled quicktime which you already did. and go ahead to the program files section in windows explorer like you did and delete the folder. after that go into start>run and type msconfig once you are in there remove it from the startup section. If you still see it use norton uninstall.
