I am moving a hard drive from one computer to another. It works fine in the old computer.
After resolving the inaccessible boot device problem, the new computer will start Win 2k. However, it attempts to load drivers for the new motherboard(I have all of the non-essential devices turned off, CD, LAN, etc.).
The problem is that the keyboard does not work. So I cannot select the next button to install the drivers.
I tried different keyboards and different motherboards, same problem. The keyboard does work until Win 2k is loaded. Thus, I can enter the BIOS and change settings.
I have lost the Win 2k cd, so I cannot reinstall the OS. Any ideas?

Only solution is a repair install of W2K. See if you can borrow a W2K cd from a friend.
Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Do the KBoard and mouse work in the POST screens? If PS/2 devices aren't working in the POST screens then that isn't a driver issue. USB devices won't work in the POST screens unless the option to Enable legusy USB devices is Enabled. That may require the use of a PS/2 KB. You might want to clear the CMOS and verify the jumper for that purpose is in the RUN position. Sometimes MBoards are shipped with the jumper in the clear position. If that isn't the problem then you MAY have a hardware conflict. Remove any non essential add in cards until you get the MBoard drivers installed.
