Properties vanished

CPU/Ram: 1 GHz/786 MB

It started some days ago. When I right click a drive letter (inside windows explorer) and select properties nothing is shown and I can no longer see what's my HD free space. Why does this happen what can be done to fix it?

Nuthing either. The OS doesn't show anything at all
