Comment: Hi guys. In win XP you type "msconfig" in RUN to administrate which programs start with windows. What´s the equivalent in Windows 2000 pro? Tanks.

Reply: (edit)There isn't one in 2000. What I use instead (and I use it on XP as well I like it so much!) is a program called Startup Control by Mike Lin. A simple search in google of "startup control" (without the quotes of course) will lead you to the program quickly. Once installed, it runs from an applet in the Control Panel called "Startup" (surprise, surprise!).

Reply: (edit)I use the same program as Curt and I like it. If for some reason you just can't wait to use the Startup Control program, you can use the msconfig file copied from another computer, but you'll have to click thru a few screens telling you that it couldn't find the autoexec.bat and config.sys files among others, but you'll get to the old familar msconfig screen just the same.
