Worked on finding my product code for several hours. On Windows 2000 it is encrypted. So I can get the software license and the product registry number from regedit. but not the encrypted CD key; which is what I need to reinstall Windows. Incidentally,my original install was by a OEM vendor and I can see that with the Belarc app, but using this little Java app:

I got the CD key no problem.
