After installing files, win 2k presents screen indicating it is initiallizing mouse and keyboard. Activity Bar covers approx. half the distance, then, screen blanks and new, blue, screen appears with several words printed in upper left corner: "Problem with installation. Consult hardware provider. Setup has halted."
I am running AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.1 GHz processor on an MSI K7T Turbo-R Motherboard, and, Via KT133A combined Via 686B chipsets at 133mhz fsb. System runs 98se and xp both fine.
Have installed a second hard drive, 20 gig, for win 2k only and dual booting 98 and xp. During install, only run single harddrive...same results. Suggestions?

Is your hard drive attached to a Promise or a Highpoint controller card?

If it is, you will need to install the drivers for it during setup.
