Hi,
Any problems removing W2K server name from domain and placing it back.
with my domain user ID I cannot log into the Ghosted image of a server. I can log in with local server ID.Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but your question is a little unclear. I will try to answer what I think you are asking for, but please rephase if I'm off base.
As a domain user, you will not have any special priviledges. Is the Ghosted image of a server currently up and running now as the server, or is it just sitting somewhere fo a future recovery? Until it is set in place by an administrator as ok to use, I don't believe it can be accessed. Was the image made before or after the creation of your login? Could it be that you are not listed as a user on the ghosted image?
Is there a particular reason that you removed a server name from the domain? I recently rebuilt a domain and found that there were more settings than I was aware of. Those settings I missed still had the name of the old domain and its signature, and I could only remove them from the registry (at least until I find what sets them). How did you remove the server and then re-add it? If the server with that name was connected at the time that you removed it from the domain, I could see some conflict arising. I could answer better with more info I think.
Hope this helps

Hi,
Before adding a bunch of software I created local user ID with admin privileges and then took a Ghost image of the server. I tested the Ghost image it worked fined. Couple of month later I can only login to a Ghosted image with local id. The original server is working. I am just not sure how come I cannot logging with my domain user ID to the Ghosted image of the server. The server was never removed from domain. I just wan to replace the disks with the Ghosted image of the server.
So my question is by taking the server of the domain and then placing it back will it make my current server inaccessible and the Ghosted image server accessible? Thanks in advance.
