Comment:

For some reason, I recently reinstalled Win2K Pro in my Dell Precision 530 box. I used to have Wingman Logitech Steering wheel but I gave it to someone. After the reinstall, the windows installer pops up everytime I click program and says the "Preparing to Install" and then "Wingman Software.msi is missing".

I tried to uninstall the program but It doesn't happen and complains "source files missing".

Is there any way that I can try to stop this. It is taking lot of resources and the system now operates very slowly.

Thanks
Ash

The registry still has references to it. you'll need to run regedit, backup the registry and edit / find anything with references to "Wingman" "Logitech Steering wheel" or some combination of these words, and delete them examine each entry carefully so you don't blast the wrong entries.

use add/remove programs under control panel to remove it, dont use the uninstall software it comes with. that is...unless you want to come over your registry for a few hours, haha.

If none of those options work, use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility
