Comment: I installed service pack 2 recently. After installing it, i put my computer on suspend mode. But when I tried to wake it up by pressing a button on the keyboard, the computer just shuts down instead of waking up. I have concluded that this is a service pack 2 problem because I have eliminated all other factors including drivers, hardware, and software by installing the os over and over again.

Reply: (edit)Hoang...there does seem to be a few issues w/ SP2...some of the guys 6on this forum report problems, others say it's fine... In my own case, I had SP2 installed, then went to Microsoft and downloaded the latest for IE5.5, rebooted, and I lost my ability to connect to the internet...I use a cable connection... I had to completly wipe out W2k and reload it to correct problem... Right now I am NOT going to use SP2... STeve

Reply: (edit)SP2 just make my computer crash when it reboot after installation. I cannot boot anything else than safe mode, not even safe mode with networking, it does not recognise my cd writer and my 20 gig hard disk. This all suck. I tried 3 times and 3 times it did da same.

Reply: (edit)I too lost the ability to connect to Internet after installing Service Pack 2. I use ADSL and I can see that I get in contact with the provider, I am authorized, and I get an IP address - but no Internet connection through IE 5.5. Luckily I kept old files and was able to do a Service Pack 2 uninstall. After that everything worked fine again. Has anyone got a solution to this or know what's causing it?
