I want to use offline folders with Outlook 2000. It appears that you can only use Personal, Public or Favorite folders when you are offline. I want to be able to synchronize the Outlook Today calendar folder but it will not do that. I have set up the OFFLINE.OST file and stored it in both the local folder and network logged in folder but that did not help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to synchronize ALL Outlook folders for offline use.

Go to your Tools menu choose Synchronize->Offline Folder Settings....select OK and that will create an offline folder. By default the "All folders" dialog will appear. Uncheck the folders you do not want to synchronize and choose OK again. It will do its thing.

You can verify that this is working by looking at the folder icons in the Outlook bar. Their should be a little box on the icon with two blue arrows pointing at each other. This means that offline synchronization is running successfully.
