I have couple Maxtor 200 GB hard drives as the mass storage for movies in my computer. I set one 200 GB NTFS partition on them. Recently I lost access to one of this HDs. It’s seen by WIN2000Pro in Device Manager, but I have no access to files. When I checked partition using MaxBlast plus II v. 1.30, I found that this HD has NTFS/HPFS partition and MaxBlast doesn’t support it.
How could I get this NTFS/HPFS partition? What changes NTFS to NTFS/HPFS? Where HPFS partition is coming from? I didn't install any other OS, than WIN2000Pro. Can I do anything to do back to NTFS partition as I had before without loosing my files? I thought about Partition Magic 8.0, but this software has “support for partition sizes up to 160GB”according to their website. What options do I have? Zygmunt
