Got a problem on a Win 2000 PC.

There are already a number of shortcuts in the all users\desktop folder. These all apppear on the desktop OK. However, if I create new shortcuts in the the all users\desktop folder they don't appear on the desktop at all.

Any ideas ?

Have a look in the programs folder, you may find them listed there, this is normal for all users I think.

Hi,

Please specify that whether changing all users profile effect all the existing users on that local machine or only few user on that local machine doesnot recieve the modified desktop.

Theoritically changing all users profile effects all the existing/new profiles except mandatory profiles.

check whether the effected user has mandatory profile?NTUSER.DAT or NTUSER.MAN
