Comment:

I have a windows 2000 network with win2000 server. I am trying to get a single 98 box to work (I know .. it sucks). It was for testing for a client. Anywya, It gets an Ip, however, I can not do any web serfing. I set it to use my proxy server. I do not get any errors in the firewall or proxy logs. Any idea ?

Thanks
Peter

Can you be more specific?
It gets an IP...
So you have DHCP server?
Do you have network with a domain?
have you checked if ip address really assigned when it has been logged on and is that ip address between your dhcp scope?
can you browse on the network?
can you ping proxy server?

Just set up WINS on the 2000 server, go to microsoft.com if you dont know how to configure WINS......once wins is configured you'll be okay
