Hi, I really need help on this one. I have a XP 2200+ with a Gigabyte G-7VAX KT400 FSB 333 Mobo, 512MB DDR RAM. I have just formatted my computer and installed Windows 2000. I lost my motherboard CD so I downloaded the latest LAN, Sound Card, and USB drivers from the Gigabyte website. I have a MSI Ti 4200 128MB DDR Video Card with the latest drivers installed, and Rivatuner with V SYNC OFF and AA off. No o/c done. I always run RefreshLock in my background and my monitor is set to 100hz refresh rate. No other programs running. I have the VIA 4 in 1 Drivers. And I play with OPENGL in CS.

NOTE: I INSTALLED WINDOWS 98 FIRST, THEN UPGRADED TO WIN 2000

MY PROBLEM: There is considerable amount of tearing and cutting in the graphics when I am playing. For example, when I pan around 360 degrees the graphics don't fly by smoothly, they fly by with a "earing" effect. The gameplay is NOT smooth whatsoever. It is really choppy. YET, I AM STILL GETTING 100FPS CONSTANT. I tried turning V SYNC on in Rivatuner and I saw the same result.

I did NOT have this problem with Windows XP. CS was really smooth with that O/S. I really like Windows 200, someone PLEASE help me.

Did you d/l the motherboard drivers themselves? Sometimes you need more than just the device drivers.

Also check you Hardware Acceleration setting you Display Properties.
