I have a Dos program that monitors the serial port COM1 for incoming data (from a Telephone PBX). It loads as a TSR, and runs in a Virtual Dos Window. In Win2k I have trouble loading the program; it bombs out (without an error message) about 4 out of 5 attempts. However, when it does load it works fine. 2 Questions: 1. How can I get this program to load properly? Do I need to edit my Config.nt or Autoexec.nt files? 2. Can I get this Virtual Dos Window to appear as an icon in the System Tray, and not on the Taskbar? When visible on the Taskbar my staff has a tendency to close it. Any VDM or Dos guru's out there? Thanks, Mark

Couldn't you just find a win32 application that runs in the system tray to do the same thing? Seems like that would be a lot easier and more stable.

No. It uses dos btrieve database manager.
