Dear sir,
i have purchased laser printer hp 1020 in march 2006. till then we are facing one problem which we have discussed from the dealers and sub dealers and many hardware persons but the problem is not solved. this is as given below: -

1. when we start the computer and when we r working on the computer, printer is not on.

2. when we have to take the print, we on the printer and fire the print, it does not print. the system is hanged & we have to reset the system and then it prints.

3. after taking the print, if we off the printer and again start the printer and fire the print it does not print & again we have to re-set the printer.

we have tried this in two machines and the problem persists. in one system we have wndows 2000 server and another is windows 2000 professional. it means that there may be some problem with the printer.

please help us some solution.

regards

Try this:

leave the printer on at all times or turn it on before you start your computers then leave it on until you are done with your computers.

If the printer is under warranty, I'd return it.

Dear Sir,
You are right that if the printer is kept on it works. But is this the right solution? We should no the reason why it doesn't work when the printer is stopped and then on?
Regards

Sumesh
