I am running 2000 server and have been trying to set up my Okipage 10i to it. I can get the printer to work on other machines runnning XP, 98, and 2000 pro. When on the server machine the printer can print fine until I try to print from adobe acrobat. This was my main reason for setting up this printer on the server as to print long (500 page) documents without it being near the workstations to avoide the noise for the 2 hours it takes to print. I tried severeal settings in adobe but same thins happens. Either I get garbled text or this message.
PCL XL error.....IllegalFontData
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Usually this is caused by the Adobe Acrobat printing using a PS (post script language) document.
If the default printer driver does not understand the Post Script it prints out garbage or maybe display an Error or both.
I would delete the printer (unshare it first, if it is shared). Then goto
http://my.okidata.com/pp-OKIPAGE10i.nsf/openingdrivermenu?OpenFrameSetand download their PS (post Script) driver for the various Operating systems you'll be printing with.
With 2000 you can ADD the additional Drivers for Additional Operating Systems, so the driver well be installed automaticlly to the additional clients and they won't be PROMPTED for the drivers.

Just a place to start. Hope it helps you.
