I refill my cartriges when they empty and I have a lexmark z22. Its not that I am cheap, just I have no other option due to finances. So far, it works great when I do this and I use the cleaning solution they supplied me with to clean the heads.

BUt, I am almost out of solution, anyone know what I can use or make to clean my cartridge.

try plain ole alchol, denatured is better than rubbing. get it at any paint supply place or home/hardware store.
