printer and W2K

we have an old color panasonic laser printer, but panasonic only has downloads for W98 and WinNT. I assume that means I need to get the NT version, but it wont install, because we have Win2k. the drivers wont install if it doesnt detect a 98 or NT OS. this printer is to expensive to replace, even though it is old.

One thing you could do is install NT on a machine and share the printer through that machine.
Unfortunately, if Panasonic doesn't support it anymore, (not offering drivers), then unless you can emulate it as something else, there's not much you can do.
if panasonic doesn't make a driver for 2k that normally means that it is included in win2k, or if not your specific model then use a model that is close to yours

It sounds like Panasonic no longer supports the printer, so they will not upgrade the drivers. You could try the driver for a newer model, see if that works, or share it with an NT machine.

well, the drivers for a newer printer idea might work. We dont have any NT computers. We do have some old 98 computers. the printer works off them but the 2K computers cant print through the sharing.
