Hello,

I am running a Novell 5.1 network with win2000 clients.

I am trying to share a printer that is attached locally to a machine without success.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to enable other PC's to print to the shared printer.

File & print sharing has been enabled on the relevant PC.

If I browse from a remote pc when adding a new printer, I can see the PC that has the printer attached, but the printer is not shown and is therefore not selectable.

If I \\pcwithprinter from the run menu, then log in to it as admin when prompted, the printer is then shown when I add printer and browse and the printer works. However as soon as I log out/in again the connection cannot be made and the printer remains offline. What's more, logging in as someone else does not even display the printer in the printers folder.

I am in a school environment and use Novell's Zenworks to administer the W2K account, thus all students have a unique NOVELL login name but the W2K login name is the same for all students.

I hope this makes sense and someone is able to help.

Thanks,

Oz
