i'm looking for primax 4800 scanner driver for windows 2000. i have a driver for windows 95 but it doesn't work with windows 2000. please help me...

I've downloaded 4800nt.exe from http://www2.driverguide.com/uploads/uploads6/8035.html and installed it. But when I start the program I get an error: "scanner DLL not found" Can someone help me?

I had the same problem "scanner DLL not found", but somehow it went away and now the scanner works with the 4800nt.exe with win2k! I'm not quite sure what did the trick, but here is what I did: - install driver 4800nt.exe, get error ;-( - install NT driver for OpticPro 48?? (sorry, I'm not sure) get it from http://www.plustek.com/English/downloads/Downloads.htm - install driver for "Mustek 4800P Win2K" (get it from official Mustek site http://www.mustek.com/Download/driv_scanr/english/4800p.html) - start UI.exe in "C:\WINNT\TWAIN_32\OptPro" (or something like this) - ? deinstall drivers again ? (My computer still shows an OpticPro and the primax scanner) - install driver 4800nt.exe - reboot / set BIOS parallelport to EPP 1.9 ==> Scanner works ! Perhaps the whole thing only depends on setting the right BIOS setting (EPP) ? Sorry that I can't give an accurate description, but I tried this and that and was really astonished when the scanner started working. Perhaps when you do it you can note down what was the crucial point and post it. regards, Frank.
