Ive recently been strugling with installing advanced server at home. It's just a stand-alone server, and just yesterady i finally got my DC to work along with my PPPoE internet connection. Talk about a pain.

Anyways, when I boot up, it brings up "Preparing Network Connections" and hangs there for about 10 minutes. I was on the Microsoft KB site for a couple hours yesterday and they had information about it. Problem is, they said to `make sure you dns server is configured properly`. Well, Im not 100% sure it is, as its my first time playing with any of this.

If someone here can tell me the exact way (or one of the ways) it could be setup just for a X.com dc, and at the same time get the pppoe internet connection to work without any problems, please let me know.

Also, If anyone has some real nice links to informative guides, and cool things to play with, I'd love to see them.

Thanks again
beamer.
