Hello,
I just wanted to merge two FAT32-Partitions with Partition Magic. But PM crashed before it was complete. Now there is a PqRS Partition instead of the two FAT32-Partitions. I just tried to repair it with EasyRecovery but it didn't work. I also tried to set the FAT32 parameter in the Partition table with PTEDIT.exe nut it also didn't work.
Does anybody of you know how to solve this Problem?
I don't want to format and reinstall, because there are so many programs to install and some gigs MP3s that are not backed up yet ;-).
THX for your help

1) What error messages did you get
(take always a note)?2) Did you backup before the merge ?
( suppose not if i read your info ok)3)PqRP Partitions
If your computer fails during a PartitionMagic operation, you may see a partition that displays as PqRP or PQFLEX in the partition list in the main screen. PartitionMagic flags a partition with a PqRP file system and a PQFLEX label, so you know that the partition has been modified. You should assume that a PqRP partition is not stable. Contact PowerQuest technical support for help in recovering data from a PqRP partition.
Sorry but without more info i cannot try
to help you furtherGood Luck

I had the same problem. Fixed it with Runtime GetbackData. Worked great- i was able to recover 30gb of files. http://www.runtime.org/

Active@ Partition
Recovery is a compact but powerful DOS utility which recovers deleted
partitions or Logical Drives and also can backup and restore Master Boot Record
(MBR), Partition Table, Boot Sectors.

I guess that both Active Partition Recovery and Get Back Data are just fine since they are able to recover data, which is the main purpose...
Greets!
