PPP dialup error #720 - help!

On two company laptops in this past week, when dialing up to an ISP (UUNET) pop site, I've gotten, "Error 720: The connection attempt failed because your computer and the remote computer could not agree on PPP control protocols." Unfortunately, nothing in the MS knowledgebase seems to help with this problem.

I had this problem and to solve it all I did was uninstall all networking protocols and the modem them re-add them all.
It worked for me....

i work for help desk support for an internet company ... and this is wot u should do..rip of the communication and put it back in.. but make sure u have the cd or the cab files.... and it will be ok....
