When I recieved my computer, someone had deleted scandisk, it It is a Pentium 2 with Windows 2000 NT. I tried various programs like Norton's disk doctor, and Disk Checker, when I use them both, they say drive C is in use by another application, I thought it may be my other antivirus, so I shut that down and my firewall, but it did no good. PLEASE help me, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you.

Click start --> run; In the run dialog, type 'cmd' (without the quotes)at the command prompt, type 'chkdsk c: /f' (without the quotes); hit return. You will recieve the warning blurb that exclusive access is not possible etc. Press Y to schedule a scan; hit return. Reboot PC
