Is there a utility or anything to play Win9x games in Win2k? Some games work, but some say, Windows32 not detected.

Pop in the Win2k cd and check out the APCOMPAT.exe utility in the support folder. That might help get a couple to run.

Yes Half-life will play.
Most games that are stated to be NT compatible will play otherwise the only way to find out is try.

Just don't expect too much, because if the game wasn't written properly it just won't run on 2K.

ive recently tried using win2k and found that

A) aureal vortex 2 cards are a real pain to make work.

B) I got 17 frames a sec on HL using 320mb ram (pc133), 30GB ata 100 hdd, Geforece256 DDR, 750mhz Duron and an Abit KT7-raid mobo.

first off i loved it for browsing and i liked the way it ran, but if i need to borrow DeepBlue to get a decent fps then sod it, i had problems with lots of apps and it took me 8hrs to stop it from hanging at restart, apart from all that i was hopeing some1 would know how to make it a little more speedy, i was using DX8 (win2k) and all my drivers where 2K so i am a little annoyed, i got it as a christmas present so although i could have had something nice instead im not too angry, at least i didnt pay for it myself, and 98SE is sooooo much calmer, id sooner fix the glitches in it than play with 2K, ta, laterz

To all Win2K gamers,

Will most Windows 95, 98 etc. software and games run OK in windows 2000? I was just wondering because I might be getting it soon.

My main question is, will Mechwarrior run in Windows 2000 professional?

If you have a hotmail address, reply to Mark_macdonald007@hotmail.com
I have mail bann on. It only lets me receive from hotmail addresses.

From Mark.
