ping problem

Hi everyone!!! When i use the ping command from the command line it works fine but when i try to use through the DOS window it doesnt work unless i do it from the system32 directory. Any suggestions

easy fix would be to move ping.exe to C:\

Edit path in environment variables to include c:\winnt\system32

Thank you both. I prefer to edit the path than moving the file so if you can tell me how to do it i'll be most thankfu.

Rightclick My Computer - properties - advanced - environment variables. In the bottom window select - path - edit - and add c:\winnt\system32 to the values already there. You will need a reboot to take effect
