i was surfing today and my computer just suddenly started to reboot - it tried 6 times, never getting past the windows login screen. Then it tried a seventh time, this time the hard drive was fairly quiet and the Bios didn't try to load at all (hard drive was quiet). The monitor is reading only amber now, so there seems to be no signal to the monitor at all. There is power to the hard drive and I checked to make sure the AGP card is still well connected. Is my motherboard fried? BIOS problem? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If you don't get a post beep, it might well be that the graphics card has gone. If you got a spare graphics card laying around, try to stick that one in your PC and see what happens.

Turns out that one of the Ram chips had come slightly loose from the socket. I popped it back in and everything was just fine again. Simple fix. Sometimes things just work out. Thanks for your resonse and for just taking the time to look at my problem.
