Hello, my pc will shut down and can't be turned on for no reason. I need to wait for 5 to 10 minutes then only I can have the pc turn on. The moment when the pc will shut down is when I insert a cd into the cd-rw rom. Is it because of my motherboard problem, power supply problem or the virus problem? I am using PC DDR 266 motherboard, ASUS CRW-5224A Rom and 250 watt power supply.

A guess would be an overload trip in the power supply. After it resets it will allow a reboot. 250W is pretty small. I can't see how a virus could cause those symptoms. Overheating is another possibility but if this only happens when you use the CDrom it indicates a power problem. Did the drive previously work OK? To eliminate any issues with that drive try removing it from device manager and rebooting. Maybe the drive is defective.
