Have a PC that randomly locks up. User will be working and machine completely freezes, has to power down to gain control of the machine. The PC has been rebuilt twice. Most recently I swapped the users harddrive into a different machine with all new hardware and the problem persists. Any ideas? Need some direction.

Can you get a list of processes from the Task Manager that are running before it freezes up?

I have this same problem where my system randomly locks up. No particular program seems to cause it and i have to manually shutdown and reboot. I installed win 2000 pro 3 months ago and the lockups started about 2 weeks later and did it about every 2 weeks, then this month it started to happen once a week and now its at least once a day. i have reinstalled os, IE and upgraded everything. If anyone has any ideas what the problem might be I'd appreciate it.
