I am trying to upgrade from Win 2K pro to Win XP pro....I enter product key then files are copied and then system restarts. Setup starts to go and then I get a error that says partmgr.sys is corrupted. Is there someway to fix this problem? Plus I downloaded and ran Registry Mechanic and it did not fix the problem

Start the computer in safe mode and do a chkdsk. Also do a check on the internet for that specific problem, also go to microsoft website and they should have some trouble shooting they can offer also if that doesn't help give them a call, they have techs that can help you.
