hi ,

I have a 76GB harddisk..and i have already created a 20GB (c: drive) to install the windows OS (stanby) ...

I also created another 20GB (D: drive) to install another windows OS (production) but failed to do so
how can i install two OS in the same disk but different partitions without errors..

If you are installing a pre NTFS OS like windows 95 or 98 on the D drive then the C drive MUST be Fat32 formatted. Windows 9x puts critical boot files on the C drive, an d it cannot read NTFS to do so. It is easier to install the 9x first (on the C) then 2k or xp on the D drive second... I'm not sure how to install 2 windows 2000s if that is what you are trying to do, but I know its possible.

Hi,
Ofcourse you can install as many as OS you want in your hard Drive but the rules says that your C Drive has to be a Fat32 for Win98 and then other drive you can make it NTFS and install Windows Xp Windows 2000 which ever you want. Windows 98 cannot be installed on NTFS partition. C drive is always the first drive to boot so you have to have Win98 in that drive to be on a save side.
Take care and good luck
