partition magic error

OS: win2k SP4
CPU/Ram: 933 512ram

when using parttion magic8 to partition my C: (fat32), during initial test after reboot, i'll encounter this error dat says:

"Error 2003: File size does not match FAT allocation for file" and "will now reboot.."

the partition exercise wld fail. i've tried to create new partition in C: running PM8 from c: and from d:, always have the same error msg.

any ideas/suggestions?

thanks! the suggestion at symantec pagefixed the problem. i did chkdsk /f and after that partitioning process went thru without errors.

didnt know can find solution there..
