Comment: i recently resized my NTFS C (boot partition) from 15GB to 10GB. that was succesfully done, but i was left with 5GB of unallocated space. i tried to create a new partition from that space but after it told me to restart it would always give the following error: Exception C0000005 has occurred at address 010CB95C (0003A95C) in xmnt2001.exe. StackAddr: 0012F3CC: 001387D0 000001FE 00000000 010CBA52 0012F3DC: 00193D18 010D9941 00193D18 001387D0 0012F3EC: 001387D0 00000000 00193388 00000000 0012F3FC: 00000138 01156580 001933C0 00193D18 0012F40C: 0012F434 01139C48 001387D0 00193318 0012F41C: 001387D0 00000000 00000000 00193318 0012F42C: 00000000 00000000 0012F454 01139E37 0012F43C: 001387D0 00000000 001387D0 00000200 0012F44C: 00000000 00000000 0012F494 0113B47A 0012F45C: 001932E0 017FA1DD 0012F488 00000002 please help me resolve this issue as i have 5Gb of space i cannot use thanx

Reply: (edit) it is not clear as to what you say anyway 1. Is the 5 gig partition visible 2. if then format it first with the partition magic to any fat/ntfs 3. only then try to do anything else 4.if you dont mind doing this just use a 98 boot disk fdisk and start all over again which would be the best way out if nothing works
