i recently resized my NTFS C (boot partition) from 15GB to 10GB. that was succesfully done, but i was left with 5GB of unallocated space. i tried to create a new partition from that space but after it told me to restart it would always give the following error:

Exception C0000005 has occurred at address 010CB95C (0003A95C) in xmnt2001.exe.

it is not clear as to what you say anyway
1. Is the 5 gig partition visible
2. if then format it first with the partition magic to any fat/ntfs
3. only then try to do anything else

4.if you dont mind doing this just use a 98 boot disk fdisk and start all over again
which would be the best way out if nothing works
