OUTLOOK-want to send mail manually!

I've got Outlook 2000 configured in corporate mode in the office (despite using a pop account). Anyway, I don't want email to actually send until I tell it to, ie. I want email to remain in the OUTBOX until I manually send.
So I figure I need to uncheck the "Send Immediately When Connected" box but I CANT FIND IT! Supposedly it should be in the "Mail Setup" tab but I don't have that tab.

Even if you manually use the "Send" option rather than checking and sending mail automatically, the email will still send at that point. What you want to do is go to Tools, Options, Preferences, Email Options, Advanced, and check the box that reads "Save unsent items in" and change that to your Outbox. Then, instead of clicking send after composing an email, you can click on the X to close the window, save the email, and then send it when you want.

While I'm sure that will work, my boss's Outlook USED to work as aI described - and I'm trying to get it to work like that again.

You may find that if Outlook was installed in 'Corporate' mode then the options in the menus and dialogues may be different from if was a non-coporate install.
