We just migrated our Exchange 5.5 server first to a new exchange site, and secondly to a new server. However one user who is running Outlook XP is having some funky problems.

His Outlook is set to look at the correct e-mail server, but when accessing his "Contacts" every once in a while a box will come up that says it's searching for the e-mail server, ONLY it's for the OLD e-mail server which does not exist anymore!

None of my Outlook 2000 clients have had any problems. So basically, does Outlook XP have extra stores/caches that Outlook 2000 didn't? It is set up to get mail from the correct server, how would it remember the old server's name?

Make sure your services in Outlook are pointing to the correct server. Tools >> Services >> Properties
