Outlook sent folders not synching

Hi, I am using Outlook XP to retreive my Hotmail. When i send items out it goes into the personal sent items folder for outlook and not my hotmail sent folder. Some items go into my hotmail sent folder and some dont. Im just worried all my emails arent getting out when they should be. Any way to get rid of the outlook personal folders?
