Comment:
Everytime I try to log in to Outlook, I get an error message about the Exchange Server not being found.
There is no Exchange server.
Uninstalled and reinstalled using Eraser, still no joy.
I really need to get off the this Exchange Server.
I don't know anyhting about the history of this machine, so any ideas on how to get this stupid thing off it's Exchange server kick would be great.
Other computers on the network upgraded just fine.

Go into Start/Settings/Control Panel.
Choose the MAIL icon in the control panel. If you see a box that says Show Profiles, click it.
If not highlite what is ther and choose remove for all of them. You want to make sure you remove all previously configured mail profiles.
Afte all profils are gone, choose add, Internet mail. I imagine you would like to get your mail from your ISP. You need to configure the email profile for internet mail as per your ISP's setup guidelines. Go to thier home page and they shoudl have guides regarding setting up outlook. If you use AOL, your on your own. I know nothing about AOL.
