Outlook 2000--problem sending

From out of nowhere Outlook stopped sending my email--still receives just fine. This has nothing to do with my ISP or SMTP server--I've tested this already. It's strictly a software issue or other bug with OS/Office. The only thing that I noted was it started after I created a document in Word and then attempted to send it directly from there--I believe that was my first ever attempt at that.
Any ideas?
p.s. Kenny, thanks for your advice, but still no luck

I too had a similar problem as you discribe, from out of no where my Outlook 2ooo would not send email, only recieve. I tried everything, short re formstting the hard disk! I found the problem now, remove spell check and then try to send the email. For some reason my pc ate msspell.dll files. Pc tells me theres 2 of these files missing that should be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof. Funny thing is there is only one on the office2k CD. I coppied the one from the CD in to the folder described aboved and still i have the same problem ! so fo rhte time being i have turned off spell check ! If you find out what else it is , drop me a line please :)
