It sounds as if you have a Rule turned on in th Rules Wizard.For example: 1- Apply this rule after the message arrives 2- While I am out of the office 3- From people or Distribution List 3- Except if sent directly to me That type of thing.Also check the server for an "orphened" rule

Ha! Sorry, typo! I meant "orphaned" Meaning...check to see that a there is no rule (or segment of a rule) specifying that the server send back say, a custom message that has actually been deleted. The rule may still exist and try to execute but have nowhere to go, just like a lonely "orphen".
