Outlook 2000 hangs when accessing Calend

I took my Outlook 98 pst file and opened it in Outlook 2000. It converted the file and everything is okay except for the calendar. If I try to access the calendar it hangs. (Task Mgr shows it as not responding). It also hangs on a regular basis but again I "think" it is because Outlook is trying to access the calendar.
I have taken out all mail connections and my connection to the lan is available.

Try exporting the file from 98, then importing it to 2000 using the import export functions from the file menu. You can find assistance with this in your help file.

try reinstalling outlook 2000. this should fix the problem

brandon is right, you should use import/export feature, instead of just opening the file in diff application. Quick test: create a new personal folders file in Outlook 2000, open it, and see if problem persists.
