I'm trying to upgrade from Win 98 to 2K and having real problems!

It's a 2nd hand PC, so decided easiest way was to reformat the hard drive and install on a new partition.

Have tried the same thing twice, and each time get an error message: "Signature 4 Win 2000 Prof is invalid. The error code is 800b0003. The form specified for the subject is not one supported or known by the specified trust provider."

Also a fatal error message: "Setup failed to install the product catalogs. This is a fatal error. The setup log files should contain more information."

I keep going round and round in circles. Any clues what I should do?

Two problems here. The first is probably being caused by your MOBO. You may need to contact the manufacturer to update your BIOS.

I found the second error with a quick search in the MSKB.
