If I turn my onboard sound chip on while I have another sound card will it mess up my system?

The onboard sound chip is the ALi M5451 PCI Audio Accelerator just to clear things up, and the sound card is a SoundBlaster Audigy X-Gamer.

I answered my own question... I tried it for myself. Apparently it might fry my chips? Dunno how try that is. I can't see how and I can't see why there would've been a problem but what the hell, everything seems to be fine.
