Comment:
When installing MS Office on W2K Pro workstation the install commences okay, but stops prematurely with the following error: "Error 2103 installation cannot continue due to an error" I have downloaded the W2k Service pack 1 and updated IE to 5.5 but this has not helped.Any idea/help with this problem would be appreciated.

When an Office product fails the inital install you should goto add/remove programs and remove it AND run a utility from Microsoft. Eraser 97 or Eraser 2000 to complete the removal of corrupted registry entries that will prevent reinstallation from completing successfully.

Just make sure you get the right remover, Eraser 97 if for Office 97 Professional, Eraser 2000 is for Office 2000. Then attempt a reinstall. Hope this helps
