I want to have a group policy so that a certain OU can have Office 2000 software installed. I understand that i need to have .msi file to do this. When I open the office 2000 cd from the server computer to see its contents for .msi package, i see a folder that is called MSI and inside this folder there are 2 application files, one file is called INSTMSI and the 2nd file is called INSTMSIW. When i check each files properties and go to the version tab, the Internal Name for each file ends in .exe, does this mean they are not .msi files? Am i supposed to use one of these files to remotelly install this software? if so, which file do i use? what is the difference between these 2 files? why does the second file end with a W?
