It is better to reinstall office 2000 in your PC. For better installation follow the given tip.

Office 2000 Install tip:
When you install Office 2000, you can select which parts to install and not install, and for those parts you want to install you can even select to run from the CD or shared drive. You can save a LOT of disk space this way because most of the files needed for that part are not copied to your "C" drive.
This is done in the "Selecting features" phase. It has a tree view of all the selectable parts of Office 2000. What you do is choose the features you want and set them to "Run from CD" (or "Run from the Network" if it has that as the selection, which means to run it from the drive letter you are installing FROM, whether it is a local drive or it is an actual "network" drive.) Choose "Not Available" for the parts you do NOT want to install.

If you don't pick which parts to install and NOT to install, then up to 405MB will be copied to your "C drive". Note that the install program often overestimates the amount of disk space that will be used. For example, not installing Outlook and the International font support, but running everything else from the CD or a shared network drive drive by selecting "Run from Network", the install program sometimes estimates about 120MB will be needed on the C drive, but only about 60MB is actually used.

If two or more people are going to use Office 2000, then they can share the CD in the same way, but this still requires that the Office 2000 CD be kept in the the drive. The better alternative is to copy the contents of the CD to a new directory on your UNIX system that everyone can access. (Note, you are responsible to have the proper licenses for any shared use of Office 2000.) When you copy the files from the CD make all the files and directories read-only. (If sharing over the network, you do the normal steps of making the directory accessible as you do any shared, read-only directory.)

Each user then updates their "win" configuration create a new drive letter (e.g. drive E) that points to that directory. Then each user in their Windows session installs Office from that drive letter as if that drive letter were the CD. In the "Selecting features" phase, you choose which features to install or not install, as well as where to run the installed parts from. Choose "Not Available" for the parts you do NOT want to install. (There are probably lots of sub-parts that you do not need!) Choose "Run from Network" for the parts you want to install. (This means to run it from the drive letter you are installing from.)

If you have a network and a machine with a CD drive that you can dedicate to the Office 2000 CD, then you can save the step of copying the files to a directory, and just make the mounted CD directory available over the network as you would any shared, read-only directory, and then follow the steps above for setting up a drive letter to install and use Office 2000 from.
