I am running Win 2000. Nvidia Aladdin TNT2 is my Display Adapter. I dont know for some reason, the computer freezes with stripes on the screen frequently. Its annoying a lot. I have the latest driver from Nvidia installed on my computer. What could be the problem, please help me. Thanks

Don't know the Alladin, but when I used the latest driver for Creative GeForce 2 MX downloaded from nvidia it didn't work very well.
Downloaded the latest driver from Creative and it worked like a dream.Maybe you need a vendorspecific driver?

I also have an Nvidia Aladdin TNT 2 and used to run Windows 2000 and had a simular problem. I downloaded the latest drivers but nothing happend and the problem refused to go away, so then i thought that it was a problem with Windows 2000 and i changed to a different OS (Operating System) and now everything works fine. Although, Nvidia have recently released new drivers so you could try downloading them, but i dont know if they will solve your problem:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
Perhaps you could also try Windows Update, maybe they will have some divers there for you to try:http://www.windowsupdate.com
Hope it helps!

I have a Nvidia TNT2 Ultra, and have a similar problem.
Last week all was fine. Because of the Blaster virus, I applied ALL of the patched that Microsoft rated as 'critical' - including W2k SP4. Now, any attempt to display any form of video (through any application), the whole machine freezes.Any advice would be appreciated. (Dpn't really want to rebuild).
cheers,
CJ
