What is NTOSKRNL.exe exactly? I know it has got to do with the registery. Every few minutes my firewall is blocking it. What is going on? Can anyone help?
Hmm...I also found this link for you, as after reading the post you made one more time, I found it unusual that NTOSKRNL.exe would keep trying to access the Internet. You *may* have a virus, read here:

I read the virus list. I am a mIRC user, now I am very concerned. I just built a new computer last week. Got the bugbear virus, still trying to retreive data off the fried hard drive of the last one. I run Norton ALL of the time. Wouldn't this find it if I had a virus?
I'm very scared, I own a payroll service and can not afford to catch another virus and be down again. Please help me if there are any more utilities I can run or anywhere else to check to see if I do have this.
